Out of Africa

There's a lookout point in Lake Nakuru National Park that was once hosted Robert Redford and Meryl Streep in the film 'Out of Africa'; it's worth seeing for the view rather than any movie connection. Standing overlooking the park, it's possible to see the entire circumference, picking out a flotsam line of flamingos feeding in the soda lake, giraffe cropping the branches of trees, and the silouettes of water buffalo and rhino in the distance.

Images from 24 hours in the relative wildness of Kenya's National Parks can be found here on Flickr.
