Failure, and success

I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take a game winning shot….and missed. I have failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed
Michael Jordan

Nature's good at 'failing' - experimenting until something works well for the conditions that it's growing in. Now would be a handy time to combine Michael Jordan's  philosophy and a little inspiration from nature, and fail like we've never done before, to ensure we succeed.

Thanks to the Do Lectures for the inspiration for this one

Unlevel the playing field

Shaun White, the 'Flying Tomato' is set to make the top stand at the winter Olympics, due to not only talent and a desire for speed at a precociously young age, but thanks to a relentless creation of the conditions that increase his chances of success, by a significant margin. There's madness in creating a half pipe in the middle of the mountains behind Silverton, and also the focus that's needed to get an edge.

My question is this. In your chosen pursuit, wherever it is, on the snow, waves or river, or in the communities and workplaces where we make our living, what is it that you can do next to unlevel the playing field in your direction?
