Shareable food ideas

The Shareable website shares neat ideas on how collaborative consumption can displace the need to own products, giving use through innovative access rather than ownership.

These sites are mostly from the US, and could be replicated effectively in many communities. Go to it.

• Grubly, Eat With Me and Housefed are the Airbnb for meals. Use them to find or host a meal in your neighborhood. Never eat alone!
• MamaBake - Large batch group cooking saves time and money, not to mention it's fun!
• Local Harvest - A massive directory that helps you find farmers' markets, CSA's, and other sources of sustainably grown food in your area.
• Neighborhood Fruit - find and offer free fruit to your neighbors with this site and iPhone app.

• How to Start A Farmers' Market
• Host a Baby Food Swap

Weathering Economic Climate Change

For those of you lucky enough to live in, or near west Wales, with a free diary on the first Friday evening in December, there's an opportunity to come and join an evening of vigorous, creative discussion about how businesses can best work together to weather the forthcoming storms of economic climate change.

Going to Copenhagen?

This December's COP15 talks are billed by many as one of the most, if not the most, important event in modern history as leaders from the world's countries discuss, argue, evade lobbyists and activitists, listen to economists and finally make the decisions that will determine the world's carbon descent pathway for the next decade and more.

Tens of thousands of people will be travelling to Copenhagen to make their voices heard, share stories and make a small mark of change in a critically important moment.
