Rule Realities

Just like the efforts to clamp down on Wikileaks (and entertaining to see that Moscow have nominated Assange for a Nobel Prize, which is almost as funny as Castro offering to help the US with disasters), one of my favourite charities, SAS, is finding that the filibustering of rules is stretching to our beaches.

European rules state that bathers must be notified if Blue Flag Beaches have poorer than usual water quality; SAS have pointed out that no UK councils are doing this, and therefore failing Blue Flag standards. The answer seems simple - don't tell people anymore, and justify it by changing the rules so that you don't have to.

More from SAS here.

Make your mark, and support the need for clean information, as well as clean beaches, by supporting their campaign.
