Rethinking Reasons

If you come across anyone who's read the previous blog who still interested in the impact of climate change on business profit, as opposed to the impact of climate change on humanity, point them towards David Wadsell's thought provoking presentation, given recently to an audience at Tomorrow's Company:

Rethinking Business

npower's published their Business Energy Index on 13 Feb, showing that 71% of SMEs and large commercial firms thought that the government's  climate change targets would 'make the UK uncompetitive'.

I find it interesting to ponder the extent to which the survey respondents have reflected on the extent to which a loss of 20-40% of species on earth (which is where we're heading at the moment) will make life uncompetitive?

Fine weather for thinking

It's easy to connect to nature when the weather is fine, and good for tramplolining. We need to learn to enjoy the storms too.

Musings from Little Big Voice

Back in the spring of last year, I worked with a team of fine folk at Howies' Little Big Voice talk, held at James Lynch's nascent and wonderful campsite and lodge just outside Cilgerran, on the Teifi river, about an hour north of St Davids. The talk I gave can be downloaded here.

Climate Change Wales

Over the last couple of years, TYF have donated around £20,000 to West Wales Eco Centre to help them create climate change resource materials for schools to use. Their site is now up and running, and already used by hundreds of schools: http://www.climatechangewales.org.uk

Log in to get access to an excellent range of resources for yourself, your children or their schools to use.
